Grand Macker To Raise Funds For Student Athletes
| The 2008 'Grand Macker' will continue to serve as the major fundraiser for the Grand Rapids Public Schools athletic department. Local Sponsorships and team entry fees for the Grand Macker Tournament will benefit the families of the Grand Rapids Public School students participating in athletics. Funds raised from the Grand Macker will be used to avoid the pay-to-play system for these student-athletes. The 2007 Grand Macker raised almost $100,000 for public school athletes and we want 2008 to be a record-breaking year for meeting the needs of our city athletes and their families.
