The first ever Indian Wells Gus Macker 3-on-3 Basketball tournament will take place in the parking lot of the Indian Wells Tennis Garden the weekend of October 11-12 in conjunction with the Coachella Valley Recreation and Park District and the Gus Macker 3-on-3 National Championship Tournament. The tournament is open to all area teams that want to participate.

Gus Macker 3-on-3 Basketball which began in 1974 celebrates 35 yrs. of bringing outdoor hoop action to communities across the country. Gus Macker is a wholesome, family oriented event, a tournament designed by players for players.

Teams of various ages, size and talent levels are computer matched into male and female divisions to compete for the chance to win top-quality trophies.
Trophies are awarded in every division for 1st Place, 2nd Place, 3rd Place, Toilet Bowl and Sportsmanship. Over 30% of tournament teams will receive trophies.

Also taking place on Saturday evening at the Tennis Garden will be the first outdoor, at night, under the stars, NBA Basketball Game with the Phoenix Suns vs Denver Nuggets. All teams registering to play in the Indian Wells Gus Macker Tournament will be given the chance to purchase 2 tickets per player for the sold out game . . . So register your team early!!!

You won’t want to miss the FREE Friday evening concert with WAR at the Tennis Garden as well – all part of the Coachella Valley Recreation & Park District Desert Rock and Musica Latina Free Concert Series.
