Welcome to Cicero, NY Gus Macker Basketball Tournament

After a stellar first year and being named the Rookie Site of the year by Gus Macker and Exceptional Program of the Year by the Central NY Recreation & Park Society, the Cicero Gus Macker is coming back bigger and better! In addition to the friendly competition on Saturday and Sunday, athletes and spectators will be treated to great entertainment all weekend long Friday to Sunday. On Friday, bring your appetite for the Chicken BBQ, enter to win great raffles, and dance and sing along with the band.  Throughout the day on Saturday and Sunday, look for the return of the Mascot Shootout, endless Dream Court antics, demos, and performances by the official Macker Girls.
 
The Cicero Gus Macker is organized by the Friends of The CanTeen in their efforts to support The CanTeen. The CanTeen is an after-school drop in teen center open to all youth in grades 8 to 12. Look for the teenage members from The CanTeen all weekend long helping out in many capacities.

 REGISTRATION INFORMATION
Friday:            4 to 7 pm inside Driver’s Village (Be sure to save time to eat some chicken and enjoy some free music)
Saturday:       7 am – Noon outside under the Shade Tent, just past the Bracket tent.
Don’t forget to bring valid ID!
 
FRIDAY NIGHT KICK OFF PARTY!
Join us on Friday, August 5th for a free concert, magic show and other entertainment. There will also be plenty of food with the Cicero Fire Department’s Chicken BBQ and the Brick House Café open for business. Food will start to be served at 4 pm until it’s gone! The CXtec Dinosaurs will be taking the stage from 6:30 to 8:00 pm. Look for lots of FREE entertainment in between. Plus, everyone that enters the raffles will have a chance to walk away with some of our great packages.

Do you have Cash Friend-zy Fever?! Someone at the tournament will be walking away with $10,000! Will it be you?! The Friends of the CanTeen are selling tickets now for $20 each and no more than 2000 will be sold. The grand prize winner will receive a check for $10,000*. Second place winner will receive $3,000 and the third prize winner will receive $2,000. Winning tickets will be drawn at the tournament at Noon on Sunday, August 7th at the Dream Court.
