The Belding Gus Macker Tournament – August 8-9, 2009...
The Belding Tournament will once again take place on Depot Street in Downtown Belding. The tournament is open to everyone . . . young – old, male – female, experience or no experience at all. Don’t wait . . . Register your team today and experience this one and only, original, 3-on-3 basketball tournament. This year’s tournament will once again benefit such local community charities as: the Belding Police Reserves, Project Graduation, Belding School Athletics, Belding Rocket Football as well as the Belding Area Arts Council.
In addition, The Belding Bible Church will be sponsoring a ‘Foodfürhoopin’ Fundraiser and Silent Auction. This fundraiser is a community effort to ‘help our neighbors’, those people in the surrounding area adversely affected by the weakened economy. We encourage all teams to bring with them nonperishable food items to assist in their efforts. The money raised from the silent auction will be used to help those who are finding it difficult to pay heat and electric bills.
