The City of Burton would like to welcome all Gus Macker participants, their families and friends. You will find that our great City has a variety of recreational/entertainment/shopping opportunities and dining facilities nearby to make your stay more enjoyable.
Burton is the home of Kelly Lake Park, which includes a small (non-motorized) lake, bike/walking paths and picnic pavilion. Also located in Burton as part of the Genesee County Parks & Rec system is camping, a 380 acre For-Mar Nature Preserve and Arboretum with walking/nature trails, two public golf courses and the Ice Mountain Arena Complex. In addition, the Courtland Shopping Center is located here, which includes a movie theatre. The City of Burton also has many fine restaurants, including Applebee's, Bob Evans, Tia Helita's, Paul's Coney Island, with easy on/off access to I-69.
