IT’S ALL GOOD!!!

It started as a drive-way game that moved to the parking lots of America, but in downtown Morris, IL Gus Macker is once again “takin’ it to the streets!” That’s right, our tournament is played on the main streets of our nostalgic downtown, surrounded by plenty of places to shop, dine or just chill out in between games. Brought to you by the Morris Downtown Development Partnership, Inc., the 9th annual Gus Macker Morris is not only played in a great neighborhood, we will once again be playing by neighborhood rules. Additionally, our games will be called by striped officials for junior divisions through adult courts. Join us in downtown Morris this summer for a weekend of great basketball and see why our neighborhood rules!

Morris Illinois is located 60 miles southwest of Chicago, 15 miles west of I-55 at the intersections of I-80 and Route 47.
Downtown Morris is 2 ½ miles south of I-80 and two blocks west of Route 47.

2011 Schedule of Events:

Friday – June 3

4:00 pm – 7:00 pm   Registration - The registration tent is located at the corner of Washington and Liberty Streets on the Grundy County Courthouse lawn.

Saturday – June 4

7:00 am – Noon   Registration - The registration tent is located at the corner of Washington and Liberty Streets on the Grundy County Courthouse lawn.
8:00 am    Opening Ceremonies – Located at the Top Court at the corner of Liberty and Main.
8:30 am   Games Begin
10:00 am – 2:00 pm   3 Point Shoot-Out & Free Throw Contest - Located at the corner of Liberty and Jefferson.
6:00 pm   Slam Dunk Contest - Located at the corner of Liberty and Main. (Registration is from noon - 6:00 pm at the Main Stage)

Sunday – June 5

8:00 am   Games Begin
10:00 am – Noon   3 point Shoot-Out & Free Throw Contest - Located at the corner of Liberty and Jefferson.
10:00 am – Finish   Trophy Presentations - Located at the corner of Washington and Liberty Streets on the Grundy County Courthouse lawn.
