Macker in May Marks Start of Summer in Quincy

Gus Macker 3-on-3 basketball takes to the streets around Washington Park Central Square for the 28th year May 26-27, and once again it will mark that summer has arrived.

The family oriented festival of fun celebrates the passion for basketball in this wonderful community. Quincy loves hoops, and the organizing Quincy Exchange Club will once again present net proceeds to community charities.

If you haven't been to Quincy before, then you have missed the purity of a Macker that truly makes it a festival. Washington Park (put 400 Maine Street in your GPS application) will host vendors and concessions, and the courts will branch out from there starting with the top men's and women's courts as well as the Dream Court where the little Macker players live the basketball dream.

The Exchange Club and several key people in the community have worked together to help the Macker succeed all these years. In fact, one of the founders of the tournament, Mike Lavery of the Exchange Club, is a member of the Gus Macker Hall of Fame.

The Gus Macker World Tour loves its stop in Quincy each year. Come join us by registering now.
